Louise Kirby is an avid art journalist
and a mixed media artist focused primarily on works on canvas and intricately
decorated handmade books.
Living in the verdant coastal region
of New South Wales, Australia, Louise draws inspiration from nature and her
beloved Clarence River, as reflected in her frequent use of cool watery
colours. A deep gratitude for all life
offers her, the loving kindness she extends to nature and all living creatures and
her honouring of the divine feminine are all expressed through her art.
Louise also brings the therapeutic
power of art to local and online communities by gently and professionally encouraging
and nurturing the creativity of others. She teaches and offers workshops at the
Grafton Art Club, Clarence Valleys ‘Out of the Box’ program, the Regional
Gallery and travels to teach in other areas whenever there are a group of eager
students.
Louise works playfully and
intuitively, creating luscious and soothing works. She loves to share her
enthusiasm and joy in creating.
